Business model
The comparison is free for you. FinanceRock GmbH only earns money if you take advice from it and sign a contract as a result; the insurer then pays a commission. Comparing premiums, reading guides, using a tool, saving calculations in your account or switching yourself with the cancellation letter earns us nothing. Every result row shows the question “Do we earn anything here?” with an honest answer.
Commission on a signed contract
If you take out a policy through FinanceRock, the insurer pays a fee: at most CHF 70 per person for basic health insurance, at most 16 monthly premiums for supplementary insurance. The advice is free for you; the ranking in the comparison is never influenced by it.
| Insurance | Maximum commission | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Basic insurance (KVG) | CHF 70 per insured person | Industry agreement, generally binding since 01.09.2024 (KVAV Annex 2) |
| Supplementary insurance (VVG) | 16 net monthly premiums per contract | Industry agreement, generally binding since 01.09.2024 (AVO Annex 7) |
If you cancel within one year, the intermediary must repay the commission in full; in the second year at least half. On request, we tell you the exact rates per insurer before any advice (Art. 45b VAG).
Independence
- No paid placements and no hidden insurers. The calculator shows all insurers and models in your region, including those on which we earn nothing.
- No exclusive contracts. FinanceRock GmbH is not tied to any insurer (Art. 182c AVO).
- No insurer shareholdings. The law prohibits independent intermediaries from having an insurer stake of more than 10 %; no insurer holds a stake in FinanceRock GmbH.
- No insurer advertising and no sponsored content.
Requests and advertising
There is no cold calling, not even through partners. For every request we log its origin (page, time, consent), as the industry agreement requires. FinanceRock GmbH runs ads on Google; how we measure their success without tracking you is described in the privacy policy.
