About this list
The list includes every health insurer for which the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) has published 2027 premiums for compulsory health insurance. According to the FOPH register, 2 insurance groups run several companies (Groupe Mutuel, Visana); the remaining insurers do not belong to any group.
In the 2024 financial year, an average of 9,005,998 people had basic health insurance; administrative costs came to CHF 193 per insured person (FOPH, supervisory data T 5.01). The solvency ratio of all insurers combined was 147% as of 01.01.2025 (KVG solvency test).
